Santa Rosa County Animal Services will change their hours

Santa Rosa County Animal Services will change their hours of service to better serve shelter pets beginning Monday, Oct. 8. The new hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

“It’s important to our shelter pets that kennel staff have ample time to care for their needs without continual interruptions,” said Public Safety Director Brad Baker.

“Now is a great time to adopt a shelter pet. It’s National Adopt a Shelter Dog month and we have free microchipping for any dog adopted as well as low cost spay and neuter services for pit bulls, pit bull mixes and any dog over 50 pounds,” he added.

Santa Rosa County Animal Services is located at 4451 Pine Forest Road in Milton. Lost, stray and adoptable pets can also be viewed online at www.santarosa.fl.gov/animals
