Door to door solicitors are required to register with the County’s Clerk of Court’s Office and get a solicitor’s license, which requires a background check.
The solicitor’s license is the size of a driver’s license and will have the solicitor’s picture on it.
The solicitor’s license are only good for a certain period of time so check the expiration date.
If they do not have a solicitor’s license or they seem suspicious, call the SRC Office’s Non-Emergency number at 850-983-1100.
Remember to call the Sheriff’s office immediately as time is of the essence in these cases.
