Stage Crafters Community Theatre is thrilled to announce its 200th show, Something Rotten! the Musical, set to open on November 10, 2023, at the Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium in Downtown Fort Walton Beach. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of the theatre community in Northwest Florida.

Something Rotten! the Musical marks a significant milestone in Stage Crafters Community Theatre’s history, capping off its 51st season. This uproarious production promises to entertain audiences with its hilarious wit and outstanding performances. The show will run on two consecutive weekends, from November 10th to 12th and November 17th to 19th, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.

Pam Strecker, the President of Stage Crafters Community Theatre, expressed her excitement about this historic moment, saying, “Reaching our 200th show is an incredible accomplishment for Stage Crafters Community Theatre. Something Rotten! the Musical is a hilarious, irreverent homage to the world of theatre, set in the Renaissance era. The show, directed by Craig Ewing and Nancy Kruzek, promises to deliver side-splitting laughter and musical numbers that will have audiences tapping their toes. Ewing shared his enthusiasm for the production, stating, “I am honored to be a part of this special milestone for Stage Crafters. Something Rotten! the Musical is a comedic masterpiece, and I can’t wait for our audiences to experience the joy it brings.”

Nancy Kruzek, who has been with Stage Crafters Community Theatre since its inception, serves as the co-director of Something Rotten! the Musical. Kruzek remarked, “Stage Crafters has been a second home for so many of us, and it’s heartwarming to see how our theatre family has grown over the years. We’re ready to make this show a memorable one for our community.”

Stage Crafters Community Theatre is proud to be the oldest, continuously running, all-volunteer, not-for-profit community theatre in the state of Florida. Over the past 50+ years, more than 12,000 volunteers have learned and honed their skills, enriching their marketable life skills while bringing live theatre to the local community.
