
The Dollar General store located on US 90 was robbed Saturday night at 9:50 p.m. in Milton,FL.
Milton Police reported that a black male wearing a gray hoodie,gloves and bandanna over his face entered the store and announced that a robbery was taking place. He showed a small handgun and forced the clerk to open the safe and cash register.
There were two clerks in the store at the time of the robbery and according to Milton Police the robber was wearing a bandanna over his face when he entered the store and announced that a robbery was taking place. He showed a small handgun and forced one of the clerks to open the safe and cash register. One of the clerks was struck twice in the face with the robbers handgun.
The robber left the store with around 1,500 dollars and entered a black Cadillac heading west on US 90.
SRSO attemped to pull over the Cadillac when the suspect drove on to Pensacola State College in Milton and escaped on foot. The suspect was not caught.
A search was conducted and a handgun and some money was recovered near the area.
