Tonight around 8:30 pm a male jumped off the Navarre pier and landed in shallow water. The fall was over 30 feet and Navarre beach Fire and Rescue believes the male had no broken bones. He was taken to a trauma facility to be further examined.
There is a no jumping off pier rule. Oddly enough Navarre beach Lifeguards recently jumped off the pier and a photo was posted on Facebook. This might have been a copycat jump.
There is no further information and the name of the person who jumped will not be released.
