Thursday night at approximately 7:00 pm, deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint related to a threatening message which was shared over social media. The message, from an unknown source, indicated a threat of a shooting at the Holley Navarre middle school.
Since the time SRSO first received the information, Deputies have been actively investigating the threat. SRSO is currently attempting to locate the source of the message. Deputies are also working several leads. At this time, this remains an active investigation.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office will continue this investigation throughout the evening. School administration has been notified .We also plan to have additional resources deployed as needed. Any and allthreats to our schools are taken very seriously. Those found to be responsible can face felony charges and will be prosecuted.
