The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the well-being of its employees. K-9’s in emergency dispatch centers have shown to reduce stress andimprove morale. They have proved to be extremely beneficial after times of extreme stress in the day-to-day duties of dispatch.
On Monday, Sheriff Johnson took possession of our newest K-9 named, Viber. She is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois. Viber is well versed in basic commands and in the process of being trained to sense stress in the workplace.
Viber will reside in our recently renovated Dispatch Communications Center where she will calmly roam around and watch over our Dispatchers.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office received Viber as a donation this past Monday.
