Today, 5/28/22, at approximately 12:20 pm, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at 3487 Highway 4 in Jay.
Upon investigation, it was determined that Jaden Simmons, 16 years of age, shot and killed Jonathan Simmons, 43 years of age.
Jaden Simmons has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Homicide. These charges are preliminary and will be reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office.
