PIRATES OPEN THEIR TREASURE CHEST

Pirates on the Panhandle, Inc. is a Florida Not-For-Profit Corporation that was formed in May ’09.  The purpose of the Social Club is to promote friendships among it’s members and to organize social activities for people of similar interests that reflect the lifestyles of those living on the Florida Panhandle.  The Club also encourages its members to participate in a variety of volunteer efforts in supporting charitable programs in the Navarre Beach vicinity.

Last fall the Club assumed the responsibility for running the 15th Annual Navarre Beach Car Show from NABOR (Navarre Area Board of Realtors).  With over 100 cars, trucks and bikes in the show, the Pirates also added over 30 Arts & Crafts booths to create a truly fun day at the Navarre High School.  The proceeds from that event, over $4,000, will now benefit the following local charities (amounts vary):

Black Hawk Memorial;

Boy Scouts of America Troop 104;

Caring & Sharing of South Santa Rosa County;

Fisher House of the Emerald Coast;

Heroes on the Water (for purchase of a new kayak);

Navarre Citizens Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.)

Navarre Fire Dept. – (First Responders for jaws-of-life);

Navarre High School Booster Club (for ‘16 yearbook);

Navarre High School Soccer Team;

NWF Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.);

Remembering Black Hawk 11 Ceremony;

St. Sylvester Knights of Columbus; and

St. Vincent de Paul Society

With the funds raised from last year’s Car Show the Pirates on the Panhandle Social Club will now have donated well over 50K to local and national charities … a few other organizations that the Club has assisted financially are:

EacaRosa Collation on the Homeless;

Greater Navarre Beach Arts Association;

Hillsdale College (for the tornado victims in OK);

PAWS;

Right to Life;
