4-H to break ground on new field educational facility

Santa Rosa County 4-H along with the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will hold a groundbreaking for a new 4-H field education facility at 10 a.m., Nov. 19 at the Santa Rosa County UF/IFAS Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Dr. in Milton.

“This project has been a dream of 4-H for over seven years; we are very excited to be able to start,” said 4-H Extension Agent Prudence Caskey. “It will be wonderful for our youth and adults to have a great indoor and outdoor area.”

The contractor for the project, Emerald Coast Constructors, anticipates the facility will completed in the fall of 2020. Funding provided by Santa Rosa County local option sales tax, the Florida Department of Agriculture, Impact 100 Pensacola Bay Area and local contributors. Donations are also accepted online.
