Hamilton Bridge Road sidewalk project in Pace

Hamilton Bridge Road from E. Spencer Field Road to Burt Lane will be closed Nov. 18-20 for the Hamilton Bridge Road sidewalk project. Motorists should use caution when approaching the area and follow detour signs.

In addition, there will be continuous shoulder work zones and numerous lane closures in various locations along Hamilton Bridge Road for the duration of the project. The majority of lane closures will be for less than one day.

This project consists of construction of a sidewalk from East Spencer Field Road eastward to Emerald Drive on the north side of Hamilton Bridge Road. This is the first segment of a planned pedestrian connector from Pace to Milton along the north side of Hamilton Bridge Road.

The project is funded jointly by the Florida Department of Transportation ($359,784) and Santa Rosa County ($207,745.80) for a total project cost of $567,529.80. The contract was awarded to J. Miller Construction and the project duration will be 180 days with a expected completion date of May 10, 2020, weather permitting.
