ARRESTED FOR MURDER

On 11/23/15 Gulf Breeze Police Officers responded to a missing person/suspicious circumstances call at 33 Gulf Breeze Parkway, the “Bridge Bar.”  The missing person was Lorie Musil, 55 years of age.  Video surveillance cameras showed that Lorie Musil had been at the bar and walked outside with an unknown white male subject the previous night, 11/22/15.

While conducting a search of the area on the night of 11/23/15, Police Officers found the body of Lorie Musil on the rocks near the water, next to the marina.  Due to the suspicious nature of her death, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Lab was contacted and responded to assist in the investigation.

The Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and the findings were that Lorie Musil had died from Intentional Facial Submersion (Drowning) and ruled the death a Homicide.

On 12/4/15 the suspect, Christopher Lindsay, 43 years of age, was arrested for Murder at a residence near the Santa Rosa/Okaloosa county line.  Lindsay was the person seen at the bar with the victim.  There is no indication that Christopher Lindsay and Lorie Musil were acquainted prior to the night of her death.

Immediately after his arrest, the Gulf Breeze Police Department executed a search warrant on a sail boat being used by Lindsay at the marina behind the “Bridge Bar.”

Lindsay was arrested without incident and booked into the Santa Rosa County jail with no bond.
