Today at 3:01 CDT a Blue Angel jet crashed in a practice exercise in Smyrna, TN.
One person has been reported killed. It is unknown if that person was the pilot or a bystander.
The rest of the Blue Angel pilots have landed safely.
Eyewitness reported that the nose of the jet went straight down until impact.
The team flew earlier today in Nashville.
The last crash that occurred with the Blue Angels was in 2007 in South Carolina.
UPDATE: The pilot of the F-18 jet was the only casualty today. The name is being withheld at this time.
