COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE FIRE UPDATE: At approximately 1:50 p.m. HNFD units (E45, E41, BC40 and C40) responded to a commercial structure fire in the 8500 block of Navarre Pkwy (Burger King).
Crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke conditions inside the structure. All occupants had already evacuated the structure.
45 and 41 engine companies stretched lines interior and began fire attack. Fire was found in the rear walls of the structure. Navarre Beach Fire Ladder 49 crew coordinated roof ventilation and checked for further fire extension.
Fire was brought under control by 1405 hours. Despite a very quick response anc fire attack, the structure sustained extensive damages. Cause of fire is currently under investigation.
