A fatality accident happened early this morning on US Highway 90 and airway Drive in Escambia County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol report a female driver age 26 from Pace , Florida was driving a silver sedan traveling east on US Highway 90 alternative / State Road 10 west of Airway Drive in Escambia County.
A pedestrian , male age 42 from Pensacola Florida was stopped facing south on the south shoulder on US Highway 90 Alternate , west of airway Drive.
The driver of the sedan failed to maintain a single lane resulting in the sedan traveling off the road on to the south shoulder on U.S. Highway 90 Alternate , as a result the front of the sedan struck the pedestrian and two bicycles.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver of the sedan was arrested on scene then booked into the Escambia County Jail , for DUI Manslaughter.
The name of the driver or the pedestrian has not been released by the Florida Highway Patrol.
