FALL BOOK SALES IN SRC

Holiday Closures
Libraries will be closed on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11 in observance of Veterans Day.

In observance of Thanksgiving, libraries will close early at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and will be closed Thursday – Saturday, Nov. 23 – 25.  Libraries will resume normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 27.

Preschool Storytime
Storytime programs are presented for preschool children ages three through five and include stories, finger plays and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they cannot accompany children into the programs. Programs start promptly at the assigned times; latecomers are not admitted.

First timer? Visit the library to meet the storytime presenter, pick up a welcome packet, explore the children’s area, and enjoy a tour of the library.

Storytime will be presented during the following times from September 18 through December 8:
* 11 – 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at the Jay Library
* 11 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Navarre Library
* 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Milton Library
* 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Gulf Breeze Library
* 11 – 11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Pace Library

Nov. 1, 4 p.m.  
One of the next best things to reading a good book is chatting about it. Join the conversation at the Pace Library on the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m.  This month’s selection is “Whistling Past the Graveyard” by Susan Crandall.  Registration is required.

Friends of the Navarre Library Fall Book Sale –  8484 James M. Harvell Rd.
Nov. 3, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Nov. 4, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library Fall Book Sale – 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 3, 4 – 7 p.m. and Nov. 4, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Refreshing Reads Book Club – Jay Library – 5259 Booker Ln.
Nov. 7, 3 p.m.
Enjoy an uplifting book club where one can talk about books in a spirit of fun and sharing. Refreshing Reads meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Jay Library. See a staff person to sign up. This month’s title is “Family Tree” by Susan Wiggs.

Coffee Talk Book Club – Gulf Breeze Library – 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 8, 6:30 p.m.
The non-fiction book club meets on the second Wednesday of every other month. This month the book club is discussing “Killers of the Flower Moon: the Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI” by David Grann. Registration is required.

The Inklings- Milton Library – 5541 Alabama St.
Nov. 14, 5 p.m.
Sixth through 10th graders are invited to weigh in and share their ideas about the book of the month. The Inklings Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Milton Library. This month’s selection is “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs. Speak with a staff member to sign up.

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents “Florida-Friendly Landscaping” by Mary Derrick, UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County Residential Horticulture Agent, at the Gulf Breeze Library.

Nov. 21, 3-6 p.m.
Enjoy playing games? Bring games from home or play those provided by the library at 5259 Booker Ln. Game Night is open to all ages and game groups are welcome.

AniManga Club – Gulf Breeze Library –  1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 21, 4 p.m.
Visit the Gulf Breeze Library on the third Tuesday of each month to learn and share graphic art skills in a fun environment. The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning, and related arts. The club is open to youth in grades six through eight. Registration not required.

Graphic Novel Book Club – Milton Library – 5541 Alabama St.
Nov. 21, 5 p.m.
Join fellow graphic novel enthusiasts at the Milton Library on the third Tuesday each month to discuss the book of the month. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests, and discuss the world of the graphic novel. This month’s selection is “Groot” by Jeff Loveness. Call or visit the library to sign up.

Bibliobabblers Teen Book Club – Gulf Breeze Library – 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 28, 6 p.m.
Ninth through 12th graders who are 14-18 years old can discuss the read-of-the-month with friends at the Gulf Breeze Library. Bibliobabblers meets at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month. This month’s book is “Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman.
