Farm to City Food Distribution Nov. 21

UF/IFAS West Florida Research and Education Center (WFREC), Feeding the Gulf Coast, and Waterfront Rescue Mission will feed 500 families in Santa Rosa County and 500 families in Escambia County this Thanksgiving holiday. This event is first come, first served with up to two families per vehicle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Nov. 21, Feeding the Gulf Coast will provide holiday meal boxes for each family that includes a turkey or ham and all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal. UF/IFAS WFREC and Santa Rosa Farm Bureau will provide locally grown produce. This will also allow an opportunity to teach residents in the community about the economic, environmental and societal benefits of agriculture.

The University of Florida IFAS West Florida Research and Education Center, Feeding the Gulf Coast, and Waterfront Rescue Mission will once again join forces to celebrate National Farm to City Week November 22-29, 2023. Farm to City Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the importance of relationships between farmers, consumers, community leaders and everyone in between who contributes to our safe, abundant food supply.
