Early this morning at 1:45 am there was a fatality at US Highway 98 and Overdown Drive . According to FHP report David Olscwa, 63 of Navarre was traveling 2003 Honda CRV east in the right lane of US Highway 98.
The bicyclist was traveling south crossing the eastbound lanes of travel and violated the right of way of the Honda CRV.
The front of the Honda collided with the right side of the bicyclist. The Honda came to rest facing east blocking the right lane of US Highway 98. The bicyclist came to rest facing north on the paved shoulder. The bicycle came to rest facing south on the south grass shoulder of the roadway. The bicyclist was pronounced on scene.
The name of the cyclist has not been released. The driver of the Honda was wearing a seat belt and there was no alcohol related according to FHP report.
