A semi truck was traveling northbound on State Road 87, north of Olf Choctaw Road, within the outside lane of travel. The bicyclist was traveling northbound on State Road 87, north of Olf Choctaw Road, within the bicycle lane, ahead of the semi truck.
As the semi truck approached the bicyclist, the bicyclist lost control of her bicycle and veered into the outside lane of travel that the semi truck was traveling in. As a result the semi truck struck the bicyclist.
After the collision the semi truck came to final rest on State Road 87, blocking both northbound lanes and the bicyclist landed on the east shoulder of State Road 87.
The bicyclist was transported to Santa Rosa Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
