FIRE DESTROYS HOME

This report provided by Pace Fire Rescue. On Wednesday, June 30 th at 8:00 a.m. units LA21, E21, CH21, BC21, DC21, E23, CH23, and R12 responded to the 4900 Block of Crowder St. in Pea Ridge for a residential structure fire. 911 caller stated neighbors house was on fire.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chief 21 and Ladder 21 arrived on scene first due and found fire showing on the front porch of a 1-story single family dwelling. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and it was brought under control at 8:15am.

Unfortunately, 1 civilian sustained injuries from the fire and was treated & transported to a local hospital by Lifeguard Ambulance. The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Smoke alarms were present when the fire occurred. Smoke alarms save lives! We encourage you check your alarms and make sure they function. If you do not have a working smoke detector, please call Station #1 at (850) 994-6884 for smoke alarm installation assistance or battery replacement.
