On 04/10/2023 1:10 p.m., the Midway Fire District was dispatched to a vehicle fire off of Justice Circle.
Santa Rosa County Communications advised that it was an excavator on fire, where the new high school is being built.
Upon arrival, the excavator’s cab was fully involved. Due to the excavator being located off the roadway, firefighters had to hand stretch hose line in to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
