
Santa Rosa counties’ extension agents are on an quest for nature conservation. The Florida Master Naturalist Program is a hands-on outdoor learning experience for adults. This is a 40-hour class beginning Tuesday, Oct. 11 and continues through Tuesday, Nov. 15 each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Registration is $275, which includes field trips, classroom training, and materials.
The Uplands Systems Module includes classroom instruction, field trips, and practical interpretive experiences related to the general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife, and conservation issues of upland systems in Florida. Field trips will include the Blackwater River State Forest, Splinter Hill Bog, Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve and more.
