With the water from Sally breaching the back-porch door of Jan and Jerry Foster’s home in Villa Danielle on the Back Bay, they noticed that their son Scott’s bench was slowly drifting out past the dock and into the Bay. Scott passed away in his junior year of high school in February of ‘89 and the bench had been at his grave site until Jerry retired from Northern Virginia and moved to Navarre 15 years ago.
While it’s easy to replace items that are lost, this one has such a sentimental history to the Foster family and can never really be replaced. In the event that it may have washed onto someone property along the Bay, they sure would love to hear from you.
