Learn About Florida’s Coastal Habitats

Want a firsthand look at northwest Florida’s coastal habitats? Join Escambia and Santa Rosa County Extension agents for a hands-on learning experience through the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP).The 40-hour class is held primarily on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 6 through July 11. Registration is $275 and includes field trips, classroom training and materials.
The Coastal Systems Module includes classroom instruction, field trips and practical interpretive experiences related to the general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife and conservation issues of coastal systems in Florida. Field trips include: Navarre Beach, Gulf Islands National Seashore, the EPA Gulf Ecology Lab on Pensacola Beach, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Estuarium and more.
