LIFESAVING AWARD

Chief Deputy Bob Johnson presented the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Lifesaving Award to Adam Klempa.

On 12/9/15 around midnight, Adam was driving home when he observed a motorcycle on the side of the road near Camelot and Lynam Drive in Milton. Adam exited his vehicle and began to walk the area. He discovered a male lying in a ditch near a fence. He noticed the male was unconscious and was badly injured. Adam contacted 911 and was provided with first aid instructions over the phone by 911 operators. The motorcyclist was tended to by Adam until EMS arrived. The victim was transported by Lifeflight to an area hospital.

If not for Adam’s brave actions, it is believed the victim of this crash may not have survived. Congratulations.
