One year anniversary of downed helicopter accident is being planned for Navarre.
Nathan Harris from the Marine Raider Memorial March met with local fire, police and other community leaders to give thanks for all that they did in last years helicopter accident in which 11 lives were lost.
March 10, 2016 will mark the one-year anniversary. Preparations are being planned for a ceremony in the Navarre Marine Park at 4 PM on March 10.
There are plans for guest speakers and other activities for the day including a moment of silence.
This will be the only event where plans are being made to have all 11 surviving family members together at one time.
At the end of the ceremony a 24 member ruck march will consist of Marines and Sailors who will proceed from Navarre Marine park down 98 and eventually end up 10 days and 780 miles later in Camp Lejeune.
