The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a murder-suicide that took place Monday night around 9:15 p.m.
A 46-year-old Dallas, Texas man arrived at the rest area along Interstate 10 near mile marker 30 where his ex-girlfriend Jessica Ileen Quinones age 35 and her teenage daughter were resting around 9:15 p.m. Monday. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the suspect fatally shot the 34-year old woman.
Troopers say the suspect then shot the victim’s daughter, 18-year old Destiny Salia Snider, twice. The teenager is in serious condition at Sacred Heart Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim and suspect were pronounced dead at the scene.
The male Larry Donell Stuart was familiar with the females, he was an estranged boyfriend of the older female. She was traveling with her daughter en route to her sisters home in Melbourne, Florida. This is a case of Domestic Violence involving an estranged boyfriend. The State Attorney was notified along with the Medical Examiner and FHP was assisted by Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Department.
