This update pertains to the robbery that took place Synovus bank located in Navarre on Friday morning.
Elijah Daniel Spells Shelton age 24 used a cab to rob the bank. He called up the cab company on Thursday but the cab broke down so he rescheduled the pick up for Friday morning.
On Friday morning the cab picked up Elijah at a home in Navarre and drove him to Synovus bank, waited in the parking lot and then drove Shelton back to the home after the bank had been robbed of $8,300.
No weapons were used during the bank robbery and no one was hurt . Elijah was arrested in Fort Walton Beach and is currently being held in the Okaloosa County jail.
Shelton is charged with grand theft robbery without a weapon and drug possession .
