An officer involved shooting happened around 5:20 a.m. on September 17, 2019 on the Pensacola State College Milton Campus. The shooting involved two City of Milton officers and one Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office deputy. The suspect’s injuries were fatal. Neither deputy nor police officers were injured.
A report of a stolen dump truck from The Other Place gas station in Milton was reported at 5:10 a.m. Milton Police made contact with the dump truck shortly after at the Douglas Dillon Administration Center, county school board office, located on Highway 90. A brief pursuit occurred into the Pensacola State College Milton Campus. Two law enforcement vehicles were rammed by the dump truck (1 county and 1 city) after being cornered. Both city officers involved were placed administrative leave.
