This morning at approximately 10:15 am, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Peter Prince airport in Milton reference to an aircraft crash.
Upon arrival, it was determined a small single engine aircraft crashed on airport property leading to the fatality of the sole occupant of the aircraft. Arriving Deputies immediately secured the scene. The FAA is currently on scene conducting their investigation. The NTSB is in route.
At this time, the identity of the pilot (deceased) is not being released based on notification of next-of-kin. The NTSB will assume lead in this investigation.
