Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners

The UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners invite the public to attend the following educational sessions:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Air Layering Demonstration – Thur., Mar. 21 at 9:30 a.m.

Santa Rosa County Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.

Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners will demonstrate the propagation methodology of air layering on a Camellia. This propagation method works exceptionally well for woody ornamentals such as camellias, and azaleas. This educational session is free and open to the community.

 

Backyard Chickens – Wed., Mar. 27 at 10 a.m.

Santa Rosa County Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.

Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners will teach about raising chickens in the backyard, touching on shelter, nutrition, and general animal care. Registration is $5 and required for this educational session. Register online at https://bit.ly/3IBxPTK.

Milkweed – Fri., Mar. 29, 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Santa Rosa County Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.

Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners will teach about milkweed, its role in the environment, how to utilize it in landscape, and propagation. Registration is $10, those interested can register online at https://bit.ly/4acqZQj.

 

All Florida Master Gardeners are volunteers, trained and certified by the University of Florida Institute of Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Cooperative Extension Service, to assist Extension Agents in disseminating residential horticultural information to the residents of Florida.
