THE REAL STORY ON WHAT WASHED UP ON NAVARRE BEACH

On 1/5/20 at approximately 3:15 pm, a witness was walking on Navarre Breach near parking lot 37-B when an unknown item was discovered at the water’s edge of the Gulf. At the time, the item had a faint resemblance to a human hand. The witness picked the item up with a bag and took it to the Navarre Beach Fire Department. At that point, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted.

Sheriff’s Crime Scene and Detectives arrived on scene to take possession of the item for continued investigation. This morning, just after 11:00 am, the Sheriff’s Office received verbal confirmation through the Medical Examiners Officer, the item discovered on Navarre Beach IS NOT a hand or any other human body part. The item is believed to be some type of sea life.
