This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central
Alabama…southwest Alabama…northwest Florida and southeast
Mississippi.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight
A Wind Advisory is in effect for portions of southwest Alabama,
south central Alabama, the western Florida panhandle.
A High Rip Current Risk is in effect for coastal portions of
Alabama and the western Florida panhandle.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for portions of southeast
Mississippi, portions of southwest Alabama, south central
Alabama, the western Florida panhandle.
A High Surf Advisory is in effect for coastal portions of Alabama
and the western Florida panhandle.
Heavy rainfall is possible Thursday, with several rounds of
training showers and thunderstorms expected to bring an additional
amounts of 2 to 4 inches area-wide, with local amounts of 6 inches
or more possible. Severe storms with damaging winds are also
expected, along with the potential for tornadoes, through Thursday
morning. The best area for severe weather will be east of I-65.

A High Rip Current Risk is in effect for coastal portions of
Alabama and the western Florida panhandle until 12:00 AM CST
Saturday.

* At 3AM Thursday the stage was 11.5 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and continue to rise
near 18.8 feet by early Monday morning.
* At 19.0 feet…Low lying pastures will flood. Cattle should be moved to higher
ground.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler,
Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile
Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington,
and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia Coastal, Escambia
Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal,
and Santa Rosa Inland. In southeast Mississippi, George and
Stone.
* Through Thursday afternoon
* Several rounds of training showers and thunderstorms are
expected to bring rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches, with
locally higher amounts as high as 8 inches.

localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

dangerous surf conditions.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
