WILLIAMSON BREAKFAST AND DISCUSSION at JUANA’S

Rob Williamson

At 6:45 am this morning I pulled in to the parking lot in front of Juana’s to cover the Rob Williamson reelection breakfast and round table discussion.

There was a slight drizzle happening as I left my car and out of the corner of my eye there were 5 people quietly standing with signs to protest Rob and his association with developers. I walked over to them and said good morning and we had a pleasant but brief conversation about why they were there.

I asked if they were also protesting Juana’s for allowing this event to be held there and they all responded with a solid no. I thanked them for talking with me and went inside to cover the breakfast and round table discussion.

At 7 am prayer was said and everyone was invited to eat. Rob thanked everyone for their support and announced that the PBA or Police Benevolent Association the largest law enforcement union in Santa Rosa County was there to endorse Rob for reelection as Commissioner for District 4.

PBA endorsment

A discussion between Rob and his supporters began with the first question from Rob asking if anyone in the room is a developer and if so please raise their hand. Not one person responded meaning no developer was there.

Concerns from supporters ranged from future growth, playing fields, ecology and water protection to 98, schools and grant money.

The discussion wrapped up a little after 8 am and Rob closed by introducing his family. Rob then asked all of his supporters to be positive and not to engage in negative responses on social media sites.

I left knowing that this candidate understands the importance of communication with his constitutes and has complete optimism for the future of Navarre and Santa Rosa County.
