Maurice Kent Martin Jr. age 34 from Milton, FL was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer was traveling east on Interstate 10 at the 21 mile marker when it drifted onto the south shoulder around 5:40 AM according to a FHP report. The report continues to say that Maurice Kent Martin Jr. over corrected causing the Explorer to overturn and collide with a concrete traffic barrier, causing the vehicle to come to final rest on its roof in the outside lane.
Jenny Emma Gresens age 26 from Pace,FL. was traveling east in the outside lane driving a 2006 Hyundai Elantra approaching the collision. According to the FHP report the Hyundai Elantra collided with the Ford Explorer in the roadway and traveled onto the south shoulder where it collided with several small trees.
Maurice Martin was taken to West Flordia Hospital where he died do to critical injuries.
Jenny Gresens was taken to West Florida Hospital where she recieved treatment and is expected to live.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Alcohol may have been a factor if testing of Maurice returns positive.
